This page lists issues that have come to light since publication of the BNF and which require clarification or correction.
(Updated 21 April 2008)
BNF publications are now complex and very lengthy documents. They include an extensive range of information—from purely categorical facts to very finely balanced opinion based on a variety of evidence. The documents are stored in a highly structured way, requiring intricate and complex mark-up.
The number and frequency of changes to this intricate web of information require exacting checks at all stages. Despite very thorough quality assurance processes, errors occur.
The editors regret any mistake. All errors provoke a detailed review of editorial procedures aimed at trapping and eliminating future occurrences.
